North American Power Fuses - Popular fuse classes

Class J - Time Delay - AJT
Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay AJT fuses provide IEC Type "2" (No Damage) protection to main, feeder, and branch-circuits, for all types of loads - yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600V UL Class RK fuses. Time-delay characteristics handle motor in-rush currents without nuisance trips. Its current-limiting ability and wide range of ratings provide excellent overcurrent protection for all your applications. An optional mechanical blown fuse indicator and Microswitch is available on blade-type (70 to 600A) fuses for visual and/or remote blown fuse indication.

Class CC - Transformer Duty - ATQR / ATDR
ATQR small-dimension fuses feature time-delay characteristics ideally suited for the high inrush currents of control transformers, solenoids, and similar inductive loads. Mersen’s ATQR fuses provide superior protection for the branch circuits of electrical distribution systems. Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.

Class RK5 - Time Delay - TR/TRS
Tri-Onic TRS-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TRS-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today’s motors and transformers. Tri-Onic TR-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TR-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today’s motors and transformers.

Class J - High Speed - HSJ
The High Speed Class J (HSJ) combines the low I2t of a semiconductor fuse and the branch-circuit performance of a Class J UL Listed fuse into a single design. The HSJ can provide both branch circuit protection per NEC requirements, as well as very low I2t for protection of power semiconductors such as Diodes, SCR’s, GTO’s and SSR’s.

Ferraz shawmut semi-conductor fuses
600V - A60Q Size 10x38. A60Q Amp-trap Form 101 Semiconductor Protection fuses feature the only 600 volt AC/DC rating in the industry of similar size (1-1/2" x13/32") fuses protecting semiconductors. A60Q also has the lowest I²t of all similar fuses and excellent cycling ability. Applications include inverters and small equipment requiring extremely fast response to faults, without the need to carry sustained heavy overloads.

700V - A70P
A70P Amp-trap Form 101 Semiconductor Protection fuses were developed for higher voltage AC and DC drives, UPS systems, reduced voltage motor starters and similar applications where lower I2t and superior reliability were needed. A70P is a very popular fuse, available in a wide range of ratings.
