Thermocouple Accessories

Thermocouple probes are suitable for “spot checking” temperatures in many process and laboratory applications, and for a variety of products and air flows.

Designed by Pyromation, these type J and K probes can be used with other manufacturers’ handheld pyrometers.

All probes are supplied with retractable coiled cordset leads with an expandable length of 5 feet.

Available in general purpose or heavy duty models, with or without shielded tips, and either straight or with 90-degree bends and plastic grips.

Matched pairs with duplex insulation, color coded according to ANSI MC 96.1-1982. Wide variety of calibration types and insulation materials available from stock.

Multipair

Matched pairs are twisted and shielded with a tinned copper drain wire to achieve maximum reduction of electromagnetic interference. Multiple pairs of conductors are first insulated with PVC; then, each pair is numbered and twisted with its counterpart. Operating temperature rating up to 220°F (105°C).

RTD Wire

2, 3 and 4-wire nickel or tin plated copper conductor constructions in a variety of gauge sizes. All are twisted to achieve maximum reduction of electromagnetic interference. Available with PVC, FEP or fiberglass insulations, and color coded according to ANSI.

Temperature transmitters make it possible to send a scaleable (4 to 20) mA signal from a temperature sensor to a control device without investing in long, expensive runs of thermocouple or RTD wire.

Programmable temperature transmitters by Pyromation can be mounted in the temperature sensor assembly connection head, or surface mounted using a DIN rail mounting clip. They are PC programmable and convert various signals into a scaleable (4 to 20) mA analog output signal. Transmitters can also be programmed with Hart® protocol for various signal inputs. Depending on type, some of Pyromation’s transmitters are UL-recognized components and/or FM and CSA approved, including styles that are intrinsically safe and approved for use in hazardous locations.
